Portland, Maine February 12, 2014 — Sean Riley, President & CEO, Maine Course Hospitality Group, announces the appointment of Aaron Marks as General Manager for the Courtyard by Marriott in downtown Portland, Maine. Most recently, Aaron was with Marriott Corporation on the opening and training team for new hotels. His Marriott career has included various leadership positions in the Courtyard brand as well as Marriott Vacation Clubs. Aaron’s successful leadership allowed him to be one of the key leaders in opening some of Marriott’s most high profile properties. Riley explains, “Aaron was chosen not only because of his extensive Marriott experience but also his ability to lead others. I’m most excited about the team he is building and the level of hospitality it will provide to our guests in Portland.”
The new Courtyard by Marriott, with its 131 rooms, is expected to open late spring 2014. The newest Marriott hotel in Portland will have the Courtyard Bistro serving breakfast and dinner, a Starbucks barista and a full bar. It will also feature three meeting rooms, indoor pool and spa, and upgraded High Speed Internet Access. LED, flat panel 42”TV’s will be in every guestroom.
