Sarah Hartwell

Regional Director of Sales

“I may have fallen into hospitality, but I stayed for the people, the relationships, and the opportunity to grow together.

I grew up in Goffstown, NH and found my way into hospitality somewhat unexpectedly. After studying Global Communication and Marketing in college, I returned home looking for my next opportunity and accepted a front desk position at a Homewood Suites. It didn’t take long for me to realize there was something special about hospitality. I loved the guest interactions, the fast-paced environment, and most of all, the team mentality. Having grown up playing sports, that sense of working together toward a common goal immediately felt like home.

What started at the front desk quickly grew into a career I loved. I moved into a Sales Coordinator role, then Area Sales Manager, Director of Sales, and eventually Regional Director of Sales. Over the past 12 years, I’ve found that the things I enjoy most about hospitality sales are building relationships, making meaningful connections, developing strategy, and solving problems. I love that no two days are quite the same and that success is truly a team effort.

More than nine years ago, we relocated to Maine for opportunities in hospitality, and Maine Course Hospitality has been part of my Maine story from day one. I’m incredibly grateful to have grown my career with a company that values its people, its communities, and the relationships we build along the way.

Outside of work, you’ll usually find me spending time with family and friends, with our dog Kona, traveling and enjoying Maine summers. I’m proud of how far this journey has taken me and excited to be part of what’s ahead for Maine Course.
